about project

The Butterfly Shopping Mall in Istanbul, Turkey (2012) was envisioned as a prestige concept project with a total area of 33,700 sqm. Designed as a vibrant mixed-use complex, the scheme featured a striking glass Butterfly Conservatory on the ground floor, housing tropical butterflies that could thrive year-round, even in winter. As Concept Architect, the vision was to combine entertainment, retail, and leisure into one dynamic environment. The development incorporated shops, cafés, restaurants, and event spaces, making it an attraction for both adults and children. The butterfly theme served as a unique identity for the project, merging ecological inspiration with contemporary commercial architecture.properties arranged along stepped plots, balancing density with individuality. The total development covers 4,000 sqm, designed to combine modern residential living with an emphasis on rhythm, proportion, and light. As a Project Architect, responsibilities included close collaboration with contractors and subcontractors, ensuring deadlines were met, and conducting regular site inspections. Coordination extended to meetings with clients regarding materials, interiors, and design modifications, along with managing construction administration tasks such as field reviews, change orders, and presentation follow-ups.
