Futaisi sits roughly 10 km southwest of Abu Dhabi within a sheltered lagoonal complex behind a chain of barrier islands — sand sheets, intertidal flats, sea grass, and mangroves. A 200 ha private island accessed by boat, seaplane, or its own private airfield. Framed to the south by the Bul Sayayeef Marine Protected Reserve.
