ISTANBUL BILGI UNIVERSITY

ADANA - TURKEY
EDUCATIONAL & CAMPUS MASTERPLANNING

about project

The Istanbul Bilgi University – Adana Campus (2012) was conceived as a large-scale master-planning project covering 76,700 sqm in South Mediterranean territory. The design envisioned a dynamic campus accommodating diverse faculties, including Architecture, Engineering, Nursing, Administration, and Literature, with a central Library as a landmark. The scheme also included student dormitories (four main buildings), visitor/academic residences, and a historical bazaar with four levels of underground parking. A key feature of the proposal was the creation of a central sloped piazza, providing a vibrant hub for student life. The masterplan carefully integrated academic, residential, and social functions, blending tradition and modernity to establish a holistic learning environment.
